Apparition

I see your ghost
sitting right there
shaking your head
at something stupid
that was said.

I see your ghost
walking down the hallway
with that look
of resignation
on your face
and i wish i could
help you smile

I see your ghost
sitting in our booth
smiling with a drink
relaxing and enjoying life
as it always should have been

In the days since you've left us
I've seen your ghost
in a dozen different places

I hope to see it in a dozen more
It's better than thinking
we'll never see you again.
