Kink up your Kindle with Frenzy...

and as a bonus, get it as an Audiobook for only $3.99! (I didn't even know we WERE an audiobook. How amazing is that???)

This was brought to my attention by our wonderful editor Alison Tyler, in today's entry over at Trollop With A Laptop. She also was kind enough to post two new reviews of the book - one of which mentions MEEEEEE!!!! It's so damn cool. I mean, the anthology has been reviewed several times, but my name has never been mentioned. And to top it off, the reviewer LIKED IT.

Here's what they had to say:

These quickies really were quickies and wonderfully written. I was hot and bothered by the end of the book.

My favorites:

Hands On by Ariel Graham - A principle spanking his misbehaving new teacher in his office and over his desk. Hot.

Pirate Treasure by Janine Ashbless - Two extras in a movie, strangers, having sex during a scene without anyone knowing. I love those kind of sex stories. Having sex right in front of everyone without anyone knowing.

Lake Logan by Cheyenne Blue - What do you do when your car gets stuck in the high water when it's raining? You have quickie while leaning out the window for everyone to see of course.

Head Trip by Alecia Langley - I really fell for this woman. From the moment she left her apartment to when she gets to the hotel in Boston, she has a toy up her heat and and thinking about the man waiting for her.

Junkyard Dawg by Connie Wilkins - The man is a bit wild and a turn on when he just slams her into the wall and then pushes her to the ground on his clothes, taking her as his need is unleashed.

Simplicity by Gwen Masters - I'm really loving this woman. The second quicky I've read from her that I love.

Sisters of Mercy by Angell Brooks - Another true quickie. Guards on the night shift. She needs release and her supervisor catches her. What does he do? Pull himself out, bend her over a rail, and take her. So good.

Lights Out by Heidi Champa - Try catching your man when he's alone. It's hot, and I'm sure he'd find it hot also if he watched you touch yourself while you're watching him touch himself.

I'm so giddy I could cry. It's really true. Reviews are so important to let writers know that you appreciate what they do. Especially small, independent writers, like those of us featured in Frenzy, and all of Alison's anthologies. If you've ever read a book, and enjoyed it, drop on by one of the websites (Amazon, Goodreads, All Romance etc.) and leave a few kind words. It can literally be the best present you can give any of us.

So here's the link to Amazon to buy Frenzy for your Kindle, and the bonus audio book as well. In total, if you spoil yourself with both, it's a mere $13.98 (US but that exchange rate is gold right now), and if I do say so myself, worth every penny.

I'm working on my piece for Sommer's FIRST UNAPOLOGETIC FICTION WRITING CHALLENGE EVAH! (Follow the link to understand what I mean). But it's getting lengthy, it's not naughty, and I'm not sure it'll be ready for tomorrows deadline. But I'm writing, and that's ALWAYS a good thing.

Oh and according to the calendar, there's only four days left until the Big Guy arrives on his sleigh - which means only four more days to get some of this

and find as many people you can to do this

GUYS: Here's a hint. Try it when the snow is falling (if possible cuz right now we gots NO SNOW here), at night, with the lights of the city either visible or beneath you. It's all about ROMANCE my friends. And yeah, you might not need the mistletoe, but it sure is a lot of fun and a really good excuse.

Merry Happy to my hotties and heaux!

What I Want For Christmas

Hi guys. Glad to see you're all still (somewhat) here, and haven't given up on me. Believe me when I say that I appreciate that more than you'll ever know.

I've had a lot of ideas bubbling up inside the cauldron I call my mind, and I haven't gotten any of them down on paper. I know it's stupid. After all, how can I be a writer if I can't write? They sit up there, waiting patiently (and sometimes throwing temper tantrums) for me to get them out so they can tell me their stories.

But when I sit down to do it - nothing. I know I've complained about this before. I'm trying to get it taken care of - really I am.

But with Christmas around the corner, I thought I'd share with y'all what *I* want for Christmas. What I would say to Santa if I sat on his lap, and he asked me if I could have one thing in the whole world, what would it be.

It's impossible. I know it can never happen. And yet, I want my Daddy back.

Every day of the year without him is hard. But summer time, and Christmas time are the two hardest seasons for us to go through. I can deal with the other holidays. I can deal with Easter, and Thanksgiving. I can swallow back the tears on his birthday, my birthday or my moms.

But Christmas without him is so damn hard to deal with. He used to pretend he was Scrooge. He used to Bah Humbug all over the place. He'd grumble about putting the tree up, and sorting the lights. But I'd always catch him adjusting an ornament, or just staring at the lights with a tiny smile on his face.

Christmas Eve morning meant a trip to the fish market to pick up the calamari, the mussels, and the fish for dinner (after a 7am stop at Tim's for coffee) It's a huge Italian market, and that means it just doesn't carry fish. It also has all the fixings, mixes, herbs, and utensils you could possibly need. Nestled in the back is a little jewelery counter, along with shoes and purses. A few aisles down there's picture frames, and china, and serving bowls. A one stop shop for any European occasion. Dad and hubby would get the food, and mom and I would shop the aisles. After we were done, it was another stop at Tim's for another coffee, before heading home to get ready for dinner.

Dad and hubby would read the paper, relaxing and enjoying the rest of their coffee. Mom and I would clean the kitchen, tidy the house, and make sure all the gifts were wrapped. Around four, the family would come over and we'd have drinks and appetizers, and then it would be fish and chips and pasta for dinner (no meat!). Afterwards, it was off to my aunt's place for caroling.

And the next morning, Dad would be the first one up, putting the carols on the stereo (in our house it was always a battle between The Carpenters Christmas and Jimmy Buffet's Christmas Island), and getting the shots ready. One shot, every Christmas morning. Whiskey usually. He always had a different one to try. Once my brother got there with the kids, and my grandparents were there, it was time to shoot the whiskey and get to the presents. And that is when he'd sit back, look with pride on his family and watch in silence as my mom played Santa's little helper and handed out the gifts. Him and mom were always the last ones to open theirs, and he always had a satisfied smile on his face as he gathered the remnants of tissue and wrapping paper into the biggest garbage bag he could find, as if he had single handedly provided the perfect Christmas once again.

And I think he did.

This is our second Christmas without him. And it's so damn hard. Harder than last year was. I think last year we were all still in a bit of denial and shock. This year, it's turned to full on grief.

I'd give anything to have him back with us, sitting in his chair, with his silly elf hat, or fuzzy Santa hat on his head, smiling and laughing with the rest of us. I know that he's with us, I know he's in our hearts. But you can't hug a memory. And I really could use a hug from my Daddy right about now.

All these years of living with him and mom turned us into best friends, not just father and daughter. And at times, like this last year, when life isn't making sense, and it all seems to be going wrong, I could really use my best friend.

So Santa, as I sit here, knowing there's a million things in this world that need fixing, in the wake of the recent horrific tragedies, I'm going to be selfish, and ask for one more day with my Daddy.

Because I'm still Daddy's Little Girl.

Thanks for listening guys.

Test Drive

I often wonder why people think that night time, before bed, is the best time for sex. Is it because you’re in bed already? Is it because you’re already lying down? Is it because sex makes you sleepy?

I don’t know. I don’t have the answer for that.

I do know that I'm one who enjoys it every hour of the day - well, except mornings to be honest. I love my sleep. A bit more than sex (she said with a blush). So when Alison Tyler put out the call for Morning, Noon and Night, I thought that just after lunch was a perfect time to fuck. You know, you've eaten, you've digested, and just looking for that little nibble to get you through the afternoon. And it gave me the chance to bring out a couple of characters I’d had in developing stages for awhile – since I went out to buy my last car.

I'd stared at the cars in the showroom, in their bright, shiny hues of candy apple red, sunflower gold and snowflake white. I ran my fingers over their smooth surfaces and settled in to test out leather seats and compare them to the more comfortable, but less luxurious standard cloth upholstery. And as I fiddled with buttons, turned knobs and checked out all the fancies, my eyes constantly strayed to the back seat.

I wondered with small smiles. Did the staff take them out to “test” with each other? Or did they find a client that struck their fancy and offer to show them how the car of their choice handled on the road, with a full tour of all the “amenities”? Did the girl behind the reception desk, and the mechanic in the bay shoot longing looks at each other throughout the day, only to be the last ones out of the building at night? Did they close down the shop and fuck on the hoods of the luxury sedans?

I wondered if they had those successful days, where after all the clients had gone home, the ties got loosed and the case of beer, or bottle of scotch came out. And I knew, somewhere deep inside, that at least one of the cars I had driven, had been a mating ground for horny as hell salespeople.

It called to me – so I bought it.

And gave it my own test drive.

The Queen of Kings Cometh!

King of the beasts that is. You know what that is. And you know who she is. And you'd best be bowing down - or curtseying at her feet.

Y'all know I love me some man-on-man action. And man-on-man shifter action makes me think of my True Blood true love Alcide (aka Joe Manganiello).

So, I thought I'd invite my friend and commrade-in-words, Sommer Marsden, over for a glass of wine and to talk sexy male shifters. Her newest book, Lion Hearted is definitely something to behold. Sommer, the floor is all yours.

Two Boys Kissing

On this particular road trip my boys kept me hopping in the erotic scenes departmen. They were getting busy all over the place. Including outside. One of my favorite scenes is when they have to make a pit stop for gas and the effects of having been cooped up in a car together all day gets the better of them.

It’s the first time we see little Rabbit, aka Luke the empath, as the aggressor. Boy did my pretty young sensitive do a good job bringing the lion down to nothing but lust:

Luke hooked his hand – the backs were freckled, Tryg noticed – into Tryg’s waistband and tugged. He stumbled forward, though he was so much bigger than Luke. Then he gave in to the part of himself craving the contact, and pushed his body flush against Luke’s. He crushed him to the wall and kissed him for all he was worth. Sliding his tongue in and out of Luke’s mouth, licking him the way he wished he could lick other parts of him at the moment.

‘Let you what, little rabbit?’

‘Just let me …’ Luke didn’t finish. He sank to his knees, working Tryg’s button fly. His hands found him and squeezed. Tryg thought if he were to suddenly drop dead, this is what he’d want to be doing. Getting head from Luke.

There is something so magical for me about this unlikely pair. A gruff, unlovable enforcer for the lion pride and a drifter—a quiet empath—whose destined to tame the wild one.

Good stuff. It makes me want to find a nice breezeway somewhere and tempt the man into giving me a kiss. Or maybe a bit more. ;)

XOXO
Sommer

Tryg Avondale is the muscle for his pride, and when he’s called upon to hunt down two missing teens, he sees the job for what it is – a chance to give his pride a break from him and his “nature”. Tryg is a gay lion and it’s not something his “family” seems to embrace.

He takes with him Luke Dorchester – an empath and the perfect travel companion. Luke can feel and soothe every emotion that coils deep inside Tryg, and the sex between them is the hottest Tryg has ever known. Tryg has no intention of letting his emotions go any further when it comes to this brand new man. But he also has zero intention of letting him go. What follows is a road trip from campground to campground, hot nights in hotel rooms and close encounters spent together as they follow the scent of the two abducted shifters. A scent that takes them to Divination Falls, a haven for shifters and associated magical folk; a place where an old evil will surface and Tryg will learn just how far his love for lion-hearted Luke must take him.

Lion Hearted

It was a 30-minute trip and Tryg could feel Luke studying him. He sipped coffee out of the travel mug, wished he’d eaten breakfast, caught diner scents on the wind, and promised himself they’d eat breakfast before leaving for real. Finally, he couldn’t pretend not to notice any more.

‘What is it?’

Luke reached out to touch his cheek. He’d shaved before leaving the house, but he heard the rough stubble move restlessly under Luke’s touch.

‘I thought you’d have more hair.’

Tryg snorted. ‘Did you now? Why is that?’

‘You’re a lion.’

‘So you expected wild, waving puffs of hair? A mane, perhaps?’ He grinned so hard it hurt his face. It made him nervous, feeling happy.

‘Perhaps,’ Luke said. He turned away, and Tryg caught the scent of heightened blood. Luke was blushing, he was embarrassed.

Now he felt like a shit. Tryg caught his hand up and squeezed. ‘Hey, no big deal. You don’t know what you’re dealing with until you’re dealing with it, right? You probably hear a lot of rumours about my kind.’

‘Yeah, some.’ Luke’s fingers twisted around Tryg’s and he squeezed.

‘Like we live in animal form almost all the time.’

‘Mostly.’

‘False. Usually, we only shift when we need to or really want to for some reason. We are very much men and women who happen to have the ability to shift to animal form.’

‘What animal is the most prevalent?’

Tryg felt Luke relax. His body went loose, his breathing evened out. He felt better; the kid wasn’t tense any more. He turned the Thunderbird with his left hand as he continued to squeeze Luke’s hand with the right. ‘No single animal wins that race. There are lions and tigers and bears …’ He smiled.

‘Oh my!’ Luke whispered.

‘Exactly. There are wolves, of course. There are bird shifters and reptile shifters and –’

‘I heard some shifters can just shift – into anything,’ Luke said.

‘True. Their DNA is more fluid, more forgiving than most of ours. Most of us have a single animal we can transform into. That animal is part of our DNA. It’s like looking like your mom but having your dad’s double joints. We’re human but we can shift into a lion. So – the ones who can just shift, they’re considered rare and special. Their DNA kind of takes orders, if you will.’

‘Like “hey, body, today I’ll be an alligator”?’ Luke chuckled.

‘Right.’ Tryg turned on to the lake road. ‘But me, I’m just a man. I tend to like my meat a bit more raw, I don’t really like wearing clothes if it’s not a must.’ He winked. Parking by the lake, he put the car in park and cut the engine. ‘I like to fuck my guy from behind more often than not.’

He smelled the blood in Luke’s cheek again. He was blushing once more. But this time it was a good blush, and it made Tryg laugh even as he climbed out of the car to try and catch the scent of the missing girl. For this he’d have to shift.

‘You gonna turn away?’ he asked, unbuttoning his jeans.

‘Do you want me to?’ Luke asked.

Tryg realised the offer was sincere and snorted. What planet had this guy come from? Most non-shifters he fucked were all about seeing it happen. It was a time to gawk and observe. So they could report back to their friends later about what it was like. A freak show.

‘I – hadn’t thought about it,’ Tryg said. It was a lie.

Luke reached in the back seat and shoved his hand into his duffle. When he pulled out a bandanna, Tryg blinked. ‘Here. You can blindfold me if you like. I don’t think you’re a freak. I don’t want to stare at you and see the sideshow. I just want to be here with you.’

Tryg swallowed hard. Something akin to anger washed over him. A knee-jerk reaction that this kid had him pegged so well. ‘It’s fine,’ he growled.

Luke didn’t touch him, but his voice went lower. ‘I mean it, Tryg. I can feel that frustrated rage and hurt inside you. I’d eat this bandanna before I’d make you feel that way because of something I did.’

Tryg turned away from the open car door. His eyes stung and his throat was tight. Goddamn it. This was not a good time to feel all Dr Phil. ‘It’s fine. Do what you want,’ he said. He tried to keep his voice neutral. He failed.

Then he dropped his jeans, shucked his shirt, and let himself shift the same way some people let themselves take a deep breath when they were about to undertake something difficult. The world muffled and he was all intention and purpose. His nose picked up a mélange of scents. He had to find the scent of his own kind and then follow it.
