Ok, so my excuse for not getting any writing done was that my room was a mess and my writing nook wasn't ready.
Well, as you can see by the post below, it's ready, and still nothing.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH.
Of course the times when I come up with stuff to write is always the most inopportune times, like when I'm at work, or on the subway, or in my car.
I still haven't figured out how to work the voice notes app on my iPhone, and I can't find my bluetooth.
I TRY to be organized - I swear. It just never seems to work out for me that way.
I am trying to absorb inspiration from my wonderful writer friends Sommer Marsden, Dayle Dermatis, and Aisling Weaver, just to name a few - their wonderful blogs can be found in my sidebar. And don't get me wrong, the ladies are incredibly inspiring.
But as I'm sitting here, in front of my computer, nothing remotely interesting comes to mind. It's incredibly frustrating and telling, all at the same time.
Maybe I just can't write at home. Maybe all the negative energy that's here is preventing my muse from pointing a gun at my head and saying "Get going bitch." (see picture)
I doubt it.
So, I've promised myself that I'm not leaving my desk until I come up with at least 1,ooo words on a project - ANY project. New or in progress.
It has to work, right?
1 horny thoughts:
I hear ya!
Here's a quote I have on my desktop that sometimes helps me:
"Start writing, no matter what. The water does not flow until the faucet is turned on."
–Louis L'Amour
Or try WriteOrDie.com. It gets me typing...even if it's gibberish!
