The absence of the cocoon of
Heat and sweat
Despite the chill
In the air

No longer to feel
Constricted and covered
Free to feel
Pretty and painted
And adorned and admired

To wiggle and dance
To tap and step
To choose the surroundings
Based on preference
Not necessity

Say goodbye
To winter blues
And hello
To springtime
To love
To warmth
To flowers
To green grass
And the approaching summer
